Our 5th national survey has been conducted to better understand the experience of cancer patients and survivors in the workplace. The 2017 survey highlights many issues that we hear about everyday—from disclosure to accessing support to looking for a new job — but this year we also put more focus on healthcare. The results show that potential policy changes to access stood out as a primary concern for patients and survivors.

The full infographic is available below, but here are a few key highlights from the survey:

• More than half (53%) of cancer survivors are concerned that potential policy changes to lifetime limits and/or annual caps will limit their access to healthcare
• More than 2 in 5 (43%) of employed survivors feel they need to stay in their current workplace because they need health insurance
• Almost half (43%) of insured patients and survivors are concerned about losing healthcare coverage due to changes in healthcare policy in Washington
