The Irish Independent covered the findings of a recent study published in the Journal of Cancer Survivorship by researchers at the National Cancer Registry in an article titled: "Survivors of cancer 'are forced' back to work early". The researchers found that many survivors returned to work within 6 months of their diagnosis and treatment. The reasons for returning to work varied, but included fear of losing their job and not enough paid sick leave.
