WABC-TV - September 2024
WABC's Eyewitness News reporter Stacey Sager has returned to work following treatment for cancer. This is her third diagnoses over the course of three decades. She appeared on camera with her fellow reporters with her hair short and grey saying, "You have to embrace what is going on, whatever it may be and be true to yourself...My hair is my hair."
She also spoke about maintenance therapies that survivors continue saying, "People don’t realize these drugs all have side effects and toxicities. Its like a chemo-lite in some case. Whether I'm having nausea or fatigue, if the general public can understand that we’re still going through it here. It doesn't end the day you ring the bell its just the end of a chapter."
