Actor James Van Der Beek disclosed his cancer diagnosis this week telling People Magazine, "I have colorectal cancer. I’ve been privately dealing with this diagnosis and have been taking steps to resolve it, with the support of my incredible family."

Van Der Beek has continued to work during treatment including appearing in an episode of Walker, the film Sidelined: The QB and Me coming out later this month and the upcoming TV special The Real Full Monty which is raising awareness for prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer testing and research.
