Jenna Fischer, star of The Office, was diagnosed with Stage 1 triple-positive breast cancer in December 2023. She opened up about the experience during an interview with Hoda Kotb on The Today Show. 

Fischer has been hosting a podcast with her Office co-star Angela Kinsey. She chose to continue working during treatment and decided not to disclose her diagnosis outside of her close friend Kinsey. “I want to keep working and I don’t want anyone to know…At work, I want that to be a space where we go and we laugh and I’m not a cancer patient. I need that.”

Kinsey rose to the challenge of being a supportive co-worker with Fischer saying, “When I started to lose my hair, I would wear my hats...And she started wearing hats to work so that I wouldn't be the only person in a work meeting wearing a hat”
