Eli Gold has been the voice of the Alabama Crimson Tide since 1988. He missed last season after he was admitted to the hospital in the spring of 2022. He stayed there for 186 days undergoing cancer treatment.

He completed his treatment in April of this year, and now plans on returning to work for the upcoming season. "I'm now healthy, ready to go and looking forward to the season"
