Grace Dean - February 2023
Krystal Garmon has undergone cancer treatment twice. Her hair has not fully grown back and she prefers to keep it covered. Following a recent job virtual interview, the interviewers did not realize she was still on the call and started saying things like "She had a head cap on, did she know she was in an interview?" and "She would look more professional if she showed her hair. I can't tell what color her hair is."
Garmon shared her experience to her LinkedIn page where she has received an outpouring of support with over 3,000 comments and a few offers for job interviews. She ended her post by saying, "Today is the last day I will wear anything to hide my history. I will wear my history with appreciation."
