Country music star Toby Keith has revealed he was diagnosed with stomach cancer last fall. "I've spent the last six months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery,” Keith said on his Instagram. "So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax.” He has been performing during these six months and was just about to embark on a new tour for his 2021 album “Peso in My Pocket”, but those plans have been put on hold while he finishes treatment. “I am looking forward to spending this time with my family, but I will see the fans sooner than later. I can't wait."

Keith is no stranger to the cancer community. In 2004, inspired by the loss of a bandmate’s daughter, he helped found Ally’s House, a nonprofit to financially assist Oklahoma children with cancer. This was followed up two years later with the creation of the Toby Keith Foundation, which helps provide no-cost housing for children with cancer.
