For the past 20 years Rachael Peckham has worked as a teacher, and now is the Assistant Principal at Coral Academy Las Vegas, Nellis Airforce Base. After a series of health issues that she initially chalked up to stress, Rachael was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Her chemotherapy, scheduled every other week, allows her to come to work on her off week. Working with kids has always been a passion of Peckham’s and a driving force for her decision to keep working. “I show up every day because how else am I going to impact them unless I’m here.”
