Shannen Doherty, known for her roles in hit shows like Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed, was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer after being in remission for 5 years. In a recent interview with Good Morning America, she spoke about the importance of continuing to work.

“I think work was always very fulfilling to me, but in a way it’s become even more fulfilling,” she said. “A lot of people who get diagnosed with stage 4, they sort of get written off. It’s assumed that they cannot work, or they can’t work at their full capacity. And that is not true, and that is something that I would really like for people to stop assuming, and give us a chance to prove them wrong.”

Most recently, she starred in two Lifetime movies which premiere in October.
