The need for further research and development towards medical care and treatment for women with breast cancer continues. However, the European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC) has directed it's sights specifically towards improving the care for those with breast cancer that wish to continue working.
The ECPC has made it a priority to make sure that those who are affected by cancer have the flexibility to continue or return to work if that is what they wish. In collaboration with Members of the European Parliament and other organizations, they have launched the "Dying to Work MEP Focus Group'. The aim of the focus group is to shed light on the need for protections for terminally ill employees under EU law and how those employees can face unfair treatment across the EU.
