Though now cancer-free, oncology nurse Becky Rainville still recalls how she felt when diagnosed. Having worked in oncology when she was diagnosed, Becky is well aware of what the disease can do to one's body, and she keeps this in mind as she treats her patients.
Manager at UPMC Jameson Radiation Oncology, Ursula Marlowe, says of Becky, "because of what she's been through, she's really an advocate for patients. She's right there with them every step of the way."
Becky continues her work as a nurse, with an even more in-tune sense of what her patients are experiencing, and making sure she is able to provide them with the support they need during their treatment.
