Associated Press - June 2017
Boston Red Sox TV analyst, Jerry Remy, disclosed on Monday that he has been diagnosed with lung cancer for a fifth time. The 64-year-old will have surgery to treat it in two weeks. Remy plans to continue working up until surgery, and expects to return to work after the All-star break.
Despite having experienced this so many times before, Remy remains optimistic, stating, "It's obviously disappointing to me, but it's something that I've been through a number of times and surgery will remove it."
