Rachel Huff - April 2017
Rachel Huff explains what it's like to do her two jobs, working at a university, and being a mother, as she goes through the stages of metastatic, terminal cancer. She explains what fulfillment looks like through her eyes.
Though given 18 months to live, Huff wants to continue living her life until the end, she wants to savor those things that had seemed routine and even mundane. When people ask her why she is still working, her answer is often, "why wouldn't I?"
So the most important parts of her days now are getting to make breakfast and taking her kids to school, and going to work. She says, "I will continue to do this until I cannot do it anymore...being able to do these everyday things gives me strength...it gives me purpose."
