Though the current Top Chef season has just begun, Fatima Ali was recognized as a top contender, wowing the judges consistently. However, Ali is also facing another challenge, a Ewings sarcoma diagnosis, a type of bone and soft tissue cancer. She has now undergone four rounds of chemotherapy, all while giving a glimpse of her experience to her many instagram follows and fans.

Ali mentions the support she's received from friends and her Top Chef family have been uplifting. From receiving their encouraging messages and care packages, to Padma keeping her company during chemo treatments, she's felt her spirit remain high. Ali is future focused as she discusses her excitement at the prospect of returning to work and opening up her first restaurant.
