Gabrielle Frank - January 2017
Erin Andrews wears many hats; she's a Fox NFL reporter, a host of "Dancing with the Stars" and now, a cancer survivor. In June 2016 Andrews went for a routine check up and was asked to come in for some additional tests. She thought nothing of it until a few months later she was told she had cervical cancer and would need surgery immediately.
With her surgery scheduled for October 2016, Andrews was back at work two days later filming a feature with a player from the Green Bay Packers. And days later on the sidelines of a major game. Andrews recalls, "should I have been standing for a full game five days after surgery? Let's just say the doctor didn't recommend that. But just as I felt during my trial, sports were my escape. I needed to be with my crew."
