Ashley Williams decided she wouldn't let cancer disrupt her dream of opening her own business, a child care center. The 32-year old managed to open the Creative Learners Child Development Center in Gainesville, all while battling breast cancer.
After going through 16 rounds of chemo, 33 rounds of radiation and three surgeries, Williams was informed that everything was benign. Williams recounts, "It was a rough road to be in, becoming cancer-free, but I made it through that and then radiation...but through it all I'm still here smiling."
Williams admits the road was tough but also believes her cancer made her stronger and reminded her what is worth fighting for, and ultimately helped her realize her purpose.
