The initial news of her diagnosis is something Michelle Cox will likely never forget. She was shocked, as she had been very healthy and there was no history of cancer in her family. Just two months after the phone call, Cox had a successful surgery to remove the cancer and her life started to really take shape.
The experience was very scary to Cox and made her reevaluate her purpose in life. While reassessing choices and the future, Cox realized her passion laid in writing, specifically writing children's books focusing on teaching kids about technology. While the books ultimately aim to boost children's self-esteem and reading levels, Cox also hopes to use the proceeds to set up scholarships for doctors, nurses, and teachers.
