Barclays will be launching an internship program in New York targeting people who had taken a career break from the finance industry. This is the latest move, of many, by big banks to emphasize its focus on work-life balance. The 10-week program requires a minimum one-year career break for "personal responsibilities".
As the world of banking is often noted for its rigorous works schedules and fierce talent competition, banks are attempting to lighten workloads and lower stress levels.
