Mallory Corzine, a student at Lipscomb University, is determined to give back to St Jude Children Research Hospital, for the treatment she received as a young child for a brain tumor. Corzine is studying to become a child life specialist - staffers who help children understand what's happening to them.
After discovering a brain tumor at age 6, Corzine was monitored for some time before the tumor turned into cancer. She was rushed to St. Jude for surgery, which was ultimately very successful despite some short-term memory loss.
With a determination and energy fueled by person experience, Corzine has expressed, "my hope is in the future to work at St. Jude."
