Gabriel Cole, a Williamstown glassblower and central Vermont cancer survivor is schedules to make his daytime television debut on Meredith Viera's daytime talk show. After meeting Cole at a NYC art show several years ago, she placed an order with him, unfortunately following a January 2015 colorectal cancer diagnosis, her order was put on hold.

Cole was too sick to fulfill her order - requiring a few rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and two surgeries. However, following a few traded emails with Viera this past February, Cole felt up for firing up the furnace in his studio and getting to work. "My motivation was to talk about it (having cancer), hopefully raise some awareness, and get Meredith her glasses" stated Cole, as he described his whirlwind all-expenses paid trip to NYC with his wife.
