F.T. Norton - April 2016
Neil Weber was a member of the state bar association since 1986, starting a private practice and then moving to a position with the public defenders office in 2011. Weber refused to give up his love of law when he was diagnosed with cancer, working hard to never slow down.
Friend and Chief Public Defender Jennifer Harjo states, "Neil with cancer was more productive than anyone I know. He refused to give up on life, his clients or his obligations to the Public Defenders Office."
Weber managed to work his schedule out so he was able to receive treatments on Friday to recuperate on Saturday and Sunday, so as to return by Monday without having to miss any work.Though Weber ultimately succumbed to cancer recently, friends and loved one say he worked until the end, regardless of the pain, doing what he loved.
