Emma Schranz credits cancer with really turning her life around. Dreaming of being a film-maker and working on films in New York and Hollywood, Schranz garnered the motivation she needed to actively pursue that dream following her diagnosis.
The 39-year old was diagnosed with breast cancer at 32 and has been in remission for six years. Schranz recalls, "It was a great thing because it completely turned my life around in the sense of what I want to do and I decided not to waste any more time. I'd always wanted to do film but I thought it was a frivolous pursuit, and unrealistic."
