Less than five months after a diagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, James Conner's lungs are clear, as is his focus. The running back for Pittsburgh's strength is returning as his cancer retreats. Conner's looking forward to getting ready to play by the fall.
Recognized for his relentless optimism, Conner managed to take control of his situation. "Mindset was everything. The first treatment was scary not knowing what to expect and it beat me up but...I know my teammates need me." he says. The support from his hometown was essential in his positive attitude as well.
