Greg Simon, a lawyer with extensive experience in the health field, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014, went through six rounds of chemotherapy and is now healthy. On Friday he was chosen to lead the Obama administration's Cancer Moonshot Task Force by Vice President Biden. As executive director, he will be responsible for overseeing a group of government agencies charged making recommendation to advance understanding of cancer, speed up treatments and improve patient care.
