U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill has returned to work after being diagnosed with breast cancer last month and undergoing treatment.

“There was a point my family didn’t think I could jump in like this, but I’m happiest. I’m blessed by a job I enjoy and I’m honored to have it and feel a duty to be there representing Missourians every day,” she said during a phone interview with KMBC. “I hated missing votes during those weeks, so I’m glad to be back to doing my job.”
