After revealing his cancer diagnosis in fall of 2015, Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein has been mostly out of the public eye. He recently made his first tv appearance since his diagnosis and reported feeling "great." Though Blankfein hadn't been televised in some time, he did participate in a Veterans of Wall Street event in November and has been going to work.
Considering himself "reality based", Blankfein says he gave himself no other option than to deal with it (the diagnosis) and move on. Despite his over 600 hours of chemotherapy, he states he handled the meds well and was able to go to work. Adding "It was actually important for me to go to work, and I felt good about it."
