Lindsay Norris is an oncology RN who has been working in oncology for years and has recently come to the realization that she never truly appreciated the gravity of a cancer diagnosis and the subsequent treatment.

In an open letter to any and everyone she's ever played a part in treating over the years, she explains her lack of understanding and how sorry she is that she did not truly grasp their experience. Norris touches on the entire process from the experience of hearing the words "you have cancer" to the realization that cancer takes over one's life an ultimately leaves little room for anything else.
