Michigan State Rep. Gary Glenn, R-Larkin Township, announced that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and will continue his legislative duties in a press release on Tuesday, January 19. Glenn has been a major voice in Michigan's ongoing energy policy debate. He chose to disclose his diagnosis because he feels the public should know about it and he believes in the power of prayer.
"I will continue to faithfully perform the legislative duties to which I was elected and have been assured I can schedule my medical care so as not to interfere with my responsibilities to the people of Bay and Midland counties," he said.
