Allyson Gahan, a member of the sales department of WBTV in Charlotte, North Carolina, was diagnosed with breast cancer on November 3, 2014 and is still continuing to undergo treatment – and work. Allyson says that the fact that her cancer can be a secret is a double-edged sword.
"People don't know I'm sick, but I feel like crap all the time, but I can't necessarily let people know that, you know? I don’t think I'm able to slow down because then I have to admit what’s going on,” she said. “And I just can't do that. I feel like I need to be strong for my kids."
