Australian novelist Clive James was diagnosed with leukemia in 2010 and didn't think that he had much time left, but a new drug has kept his cancer at bay and is allowing him to continue to read and write. "In an interview with the ABC’s Mark Colvin about his new book, Latest Readings, James, 75, described himself as “unreasonably well” despite his diagnosis, which last year he told interviewers had left him fearful of soon losing his eyesight and ability to work."
