Deanna Pai - July 2015
Cosmopolitan Beauty Editor Deanna Pai is not sure how to return to "normal life" now that her treatment for liver cancer is over and she is healthy. In this article, she describes her challenges with returning to her pre-cancer routine, or deciding whether to create a new one, and where work falls into this routine.
"What to do now with this third shot at life? Should I deny that it happened and go back to my pre-cancer routine of breakfast-work-canceling plans-dinner-Netflix-sleep? According to a Cancer and Careers study with Harris Interactive, 79% of cancer patients and survivors feel that cancer recovery is aided by the routine nature of work.
