Sports Illustrated reported that football player Jace Malek, a fullback from West Valley High School in Spokane, Wash., signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Idaho despite a recent cancer diagnosis. He will be starting treatment soon but would like the keep playing football and has a backup plan if that doesn't work out: "Malek's doctors told him the cancer could end his football career. If it does, he would like to pursue a career in coaching."
