KXAN NBC reported that Texas State baseball coach Ty Harrington will take a temporary leave of absence as battles cancer. Harrington plans to return to coaching when he is better, explaining “'As soon as I feel strong enough to lead the team in the high manner it takes, then I will return,' said Harrington. 'I will still be associated with the team, but I’m confident that my assistant coaches, who have done most of the work with these guys in my absence, will do a good job and continue to work with our student-athletes at a high level.'”
