The Herald Online recently wrote an article about the inspiring story of Alex Lamparter a Clover High School junior who continued with her schoolwork after a bone cancer diagnosis and recently received her high school diploma. Lamparter has been battling cancer for over a year and despite her illness she still ranks in the top 6% of her class of 488 students. In the article Clover High School Principal Mark Hopkins said: "'Alex is an amazing student,' said Hopkins. 'Even when she would get bad news about her health, she would come visit me, concerned about her classes.'"
