The Democrat & Chronicle recently shared the story of Andy Jennings, who was diagnosed with stage IV nonsmokers lung cancer in 2013 and has received incredible support from his coworkers. 

"Jennings hasn't been alone in his journey. His wife, Jen, and his son have been there. So have countless co-workers at the City Emergency Communications Department who helped raise $20,000 and donated months worth of vacation and sick time so Jennings could collect a paycheck and keep his health coverage."
