Jim Minihan, of Orlean, has been battling an advanced and aggressive form of prostate cancer for the past three years. Though he also continues to work, he is now devoting time to spread awareness of the importance of getting yearly check-ups.

Minihan has stated the financial toll has been difficult on him and his family, with the high costs of insurance premiums and mortgage payments, Despite radiation to his spinal tumors, increased weakness due to a 70-pound weight loss, and general fatigue common with intensive chemo treatments, Minihan continues his career as a technology consultant.
