Nia Harden - November 2015
Susan Young was first diagnosed with cancer in 2004, and this past summer found out that her cancer returned. Despite undergoing treatment while working, she shows up to work with a smile on her face. Her students and co-workers are amazed at her strength and want her to know they support her.
The school raised $1,200 to go towards her treatment in a recent pep rally. Young's co-worker, Charlotte Mendoza, said "Even on her worst days she was ready to come to work, ready to face the kids, ready to do whatever she needed to to get things done and make it through the day."
