Laughter is not something normally associate with cancer, but, Nikki Martinez has decided to shake things up. After receiving a stage three breast cancer diagnosis five years ago, she developed a comedy routine around her diagnosis and has garnered the nickname "Cancer Queen of Comedy",

After a mastectomy, 12 rounds of chemotherapy, and 33 radiation treatments, Martinez continues the battle with cancer as she was told in 2012 the cancer is terminal. This hasn't stopped Martinez from pushing forward, using her comedy both as an outlet and an educational tool. Though Martinez had never done comedy prior to her diagnosis, she notes it's her way of "giving it [cancer] the finger."
