Renee Laitinen, a 48-year old resident of New Castle, PA discovered three lumps in her right arm in November of 2012. As an employee of Jameson Hospital, Laitinen immediately made the decision to have her treatment there as well.
As she went in for her radical mastectomy surgery just weeks following her diagnosis, she stated that being surrounded by her co-workers' familiar faces was the right support she needed at such a scary time.
"When I went into surgery, I knew everyone in there. Everyone was crying and telling me they were praying for me—it helped me".
