Georgie Alagiah, known for his presence on the 6 o'clock bulletin on BBC, is set to return to his broadcast following his 18 month battle with bowel cancer. Though the details surrounding his treatment have been kept quiet, the doctors have stated they are very pleased with his progress and recovery.

After taking an indefinite leave of absence last year, his colleagues and fans are pleased to have him back on the air. Alagiah says he was "humbled" by the support he had received from viewers.
