Perth Now shares the story of Nick Efstathis, a young adult cancer survivor and football player in Australia who trained with his Olympic teammates in between his chemotherapy treatment weeks. He pushed through the tough treatment and training and returned to competitive football this year. Nick went through surgery and chemotherapy for a cancerous tumor on his lung. While he is back to playing football, he is still recovering from the treatment and knows that it will take some time to get to where he wants to be in his football career, but he will keep working towards that.
