UpStart Business Journal recently highlighted a cancer survivor in their Entrepreneurs of the Week section. Greg Foster founded two tech startups, was an executive at Turner Broadcasting System Inc., a venture capitalist, and survived a brain tumor. And he's only 41. The team at his most recent endeavor, BrightWhistle, a digital marketing platform for healthcare providers, kept the business going while he had chemotherapy. He said that surviving cancer completely changed his perspective on life and made him appreciate everything more than he ever did before.
Many patients and survivors say that cancer changed their life perspectives, and for many it even inspires them to change careers.
