7NEWS anchor Mike Landess talks with ABC News 7 about his long career in TV, in particular the largest and most personal story in his career, his cancer diagnosis. After he was told that he had prostate cancer, he learned that it was slow growing and that they would do "watchful waiting" to see what happened in 6 months. The waiting was difficult for Landess the article explains, "He said it was frustrating, but going public with his battle actually helped him. 'Doing stories about my experience with prostate cancer has been cathartic and very fulfilling,' Mike said." Whether you choose to disclose your diagnosis or not, the way you approach your work, or decide to look for more meaningful work, is often impacted by your cancer experience.
