Cathy O'Leary - December 2014
Yahoo News Australia shared the story of Fiona Boyce, an Australian field hockey player who was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma. She underwent treatment and has been cancer free since January, and is now focusing on fully recovering and giving back to help other cancer patients. In the article, she explains the impact that cancer had on her, "'Having cancer has changed me and stopped me being such a perfectionist and I know now that doing your best is all you can ask. It's made me grateful for all the good things I have.' Part of her new mindset includes wanting to give back something to SolarisCare, a free service which offers complementary therapies to cancer patients to help them through gruelling treatment."
Boyce is going to be an ambassador for the 2015 SolarisCare Red Sky Ride, a large fundraising cycling event.
