SF Gate recently wrote an article about Ronald Amey, a cancer survivor who had to stop working after his stage three colorectal cancer diagnosis. The diagnosis also had an impact on his finances, but he has maintained a positive attitude throughout the experience. He explained his reaction after getting the diagnosis, saying
“'The first thing you think,' he says of a cancer diagnosis, 'is that it’s a death sentence.' He had to stop working and knew he was in financial trouble from the start."
