Josh Patrick - November 2014
In a recent blog post on The New York Times website, cancer survivor and small-business owner Josh Patrick writes about the challenges of managing his own company during and after treatment.
In his entry on the Times’ “You’re the Boss” blog, Patrick explains how he found out that he had cancer — and how he was then faced with a host of questions to be answered and decisions to be made regarding his business.
“Entering the world of cancer is a surreal experience. One day you’re walking around normally, and the next you’re getting ready to surrender your future to the health care system. Not only did I have to get ready for the treatment, I had to find a way to keep my business viable.”
