The Fort Collins Coloradoan shared the inspiring story of Greg Mount who has only missed a few days of coaching football at Fort Collins High School throughout multiple cancer diagnoses and treatments. Mount says that coaching has been therapeutic for him and he isn't letting cancer dictate his life. He is currently in his second round of treatments for a recurrence and said that he will keep coaching. His cancer battle is a source of motivation for the team, as one player explains in the article:
“'I love Coach Mount. He’s one of the strongest people I know. I don’t know a lot of people who could come out and be as happy and as joyful as he is,' Allen said. 'We’re out there for Mount. We know the days he’s hurting and try and go out and work extra hard for him.'”
