USA Today shares the stories of four breast cancer survivors who were inspired by their own cancer experiences to start companies that make products to help ease the journey of other breast cancer survivors. The article explains how these women used their cancer experiences to identify survivor needs that were unmet:
"Treatment for breast cancer often means surgery, and women find their bodies irrevocably changed as a result. No one understands this better than a survivor herself. Here are four women, all breast cancer survivors, who created companies to meet the specific needs of a woman's body after breast cancer."
Cancer is often an inspiration for career change. For more on this topic, check out our Looking for Work section.
