Navigating Work: Effective Strategies After Diagnosis (9:30 AM CT) - 2.25 CEs/CNEs/PDCs
How do you decide whether to work or not after a diagnosis? What information do you need to make a good action plan for balancing work and cancer? Do you have to disclose your diagnosis to your employer? Are you concerned about managing side effects at work? How can you best communicate your needs at work? This session will prepare you with practical tips, communication strategies, an overview of the ADA’s reasonable accommodation and so much more.
Job Search Tools: Using AI Strategically (12:45 PM CT) - 1.25 CEs/CNEs/PDCs
Every day there are new developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and new platforms to explore. But with that comes the need to learn how to use these new tools strategically. This session will take a practical look at using AI in your job search by explaining what AI is, and isn’t, and demonstrating how to use it. Attendees will learn which AI platforms exist, best practices for using AI and more!
Balancing Work & Cancer: Resetting Boundaries (2:15 PM CT) - 1.25 CE/CNE/PDC
Everyone has limits. If you are juggling work after a cancer diagnosis, it's important to take the time to identify what yours are and to find productive ways to address them on the job. This session will help you understand what boundaries are (and aren't), empower you with techniques to identify and effectively set them within your specific role and workplace, and reset them when necessary.
